- Missed school; unexplained drop in grades
- Changes in mood (irritability, anxiety, depression)
- Loss of interest in activities (music, sports, hobbies)
- Loss of motivation; forgetfulness

- Money or valuables missing from home; secretive behavior
- Unusual sleeping habits
